The four-column hydraulic press is a common forming equipment in the metal processing industry. It relies on the hydraulic system to provide strong pressure construction. With different molds, it can accurately press or shear metal raw materials.
Material preparation: First, prepare the metal raw materials according to the processing requirements, which may involve materials in different forms such as metal sheets and bars.
Mold installation: Install the mold that matches the processing task. The design of the mold has a decisive influence on the shape and size of the final product. The four-column hydraulic press achieves the pressing or forming of materials through the close cooperation of the upper and lower molds.
Material positioning: Place the prepared metal material on the lower mold and ensure that it is correctly positioned for the next operation.
Start the equipment: When starting the four-column hydraulic press, the control panel usually provides a variety of operating mode options, including manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic modes. The operator selects the appropriate mode according to the actual situation.
Apply pressure: The hydraulic system starts working and moves the piston rod up and down by adjusting the flow and pressure of the hydraulic oil. When the piston rod drives the upper die to move downward, it will exert great pressure on the metal material placed on the lower die.
Forming or processing: As the pressure continues to increase, the metal material is gradually pressed into the mold shape to complete the forming process. For some simple cutting or punching operations, this stage will also complete the corresponding work at the same time.
Holding pressure and annealing: For some specific processing technologies, such as stamping, it is necessary to maintain pressure for a period of time (i.e. holding pressure) after forming to ensure the stability and precision of the product. For hydraulic presses working under hot conditions, it is sometimes necessary to properly anneal the workpiece to eliminate internal stress and improve the quality of the finished product.
Removing the finished product: After the processing is completed, relax the pressure, withdraw the piston rod, and carefully remove the formed or processed product.
Inspection and subsequent processing: Finally, the finished product is inspected for quality, and post-processing such as surface treatment is performed if necessary to ensure that it meets customer requirements.
Four-column hydraulic press has been widely used in the field of metal processing due to its simple structure, convenient operation, high safety and wide range of applications. Different industries can choose the appropriate model and configuration according to their own needs.
